Ready for a new cat?

There are several things to consider when adopting a cat. One should consider individual needs, activity level, etc. of a cat to be sure it is the right fit for your family. The first step is to fill out and submit a pre-adoption application.  This will get your information to us and let us know which cat you are interested in so we can begin the approval process on our end.

Please be aware that filling out the pre-adoption application does not guarantee adoption of the cat.  We recommend that you follow up your application with a call to set up an appointment to meet the animal you are interested in.

When we receive multiple applications for the same cat, our policy is to choose the home we feel is best suited for the cat’s unique needs.  We can not hold available cats for more than 24 hours for any potential adopters.

SHS Cats Available For Adoption

If there are no pictures below, it is because there are no available cats at this time.  This does not mean that we do not have any cats at the shelter. It just means that the cats we may have are not ready for adoption just yet.  All cats must be neutered/spayed and fully vaccinated before they are made available on this website.  Once this is done, their pictures and profiles will be uploaded to this website automatically.  Once the cat has been adopted, their picture and profile is automatically removed as well.  Please keep checking back to see what we have available, it changes often. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
